My parents were league bowlers, so I started bowling when I was about seven years old. I didn’t join a league until I was probably about 30. I really like the camaraderie. The league bowling. My peeps. I love the social interaction, the team spirit, the competition, friendly competition. But it’s the social component I love the most, and seeing my gals every single week.
My favorite bowling memory is actually watching my mom bowl in a tournament in Reno. She bowled a 298, something close to a perfect score. It was amazing. The whole place stopped and we just watched her bowl every frame. It was as close to a perfect game as I have ever seen, and it was my mom, and everybody just stopped. It was astonishing to watch and I was just a kid, maybe eight or nine years old. She came home with a huge trophy.

What DON’T I love! It’s my hood! I love everything from the front desk staff to the snack bar staff to the bartenders. The location, right next to the Boardwalk. Everything! It is just super fun. Families and students and just everybody. The diversity of the folks that come here, it’s just awesome.
